St Lucia Animal Protection Society was formed in 1998 and is manned by one paid employee and a handful of dedicated volunteers.

Our mission statement is "Working for Animal Welfare", and to this end, we have formed some valuable partnerships in the community.

With the help of the media, we try to inform and educate with radio interviews and newspaper articles.

Several of the island's vets help us with rescued animals which need to be spayed, neutered or treated before being re-homed. International vets from different countries volunteer for free spay and neuter clinics, which are held annually.

Introduced species are responsible for the demise of several endemic species, pesticides have also taken their toll, and our uncatalogued bat population continues to be exterminated.

The community provides support in many ways. Click here for a list of our sponsors who donate goods and/or services or give generous discounts.

We produce a regular newsletter keeping our membership up to date.

If you want to help, join us! There are different categories of membership. Please complete and submit a Membership Form.
